Guthrie is helping to sponsor Getting There: A Conference on Bridging the Transportation & Healthcare Gap in October. The conference will focus on transportation issues as they related to the ability to access employment and health care services in New York State.
Guthrie will take part in a free medical care clinic on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Owego Free Academy Elementary School. Care will be provided free of charge in a variety of areas. The event is being hosted in partnership with Lourdes. To make this event successful, Guthrie is seeking employee volunteers to fill a variety of positions.

Guthrie has published its most recent community health needs assessments and implementation plans for the communities served by the system’s four hospitals in Corning, Sayre, Towanda and Troy.
Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, non-profit hospitals are required to complete a community health needs assessment every three years. These assessments include information on local demographics, insurance coverage, and key health challenges.
