Men in the Twin Tiers now have a new option for prostate care at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.  The hospital has recently introduced the UroNav MRI Fusion Biopsy technology is an option in diagnosis and management of prostate cancer.  Fusion biopsy allows Guthrie physicians to analyze and plan a biopsy of the prostate in patients with elevated and/or rising PSA levels.  The system fuses MRI images of the prostate with real-time ultrasound images.  A biopsy of a suspicious lesion can be taken at the time of the ultrasound.

Guthrie has engaged with Microsoft for access to their Office suite of products - which includes Outlook. Outlook is the most commonly used email application and is highly integrated with the rest of the Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Our tentative plan is to be completely migrated from Lotus Notes service by mid-to-end of this summer.

As we are continuing to support any issue related to the PARC implementation, the third party call center will close March 25 at 7 a.m.  The 7199 dedicated number should no longer be used.  If you have an issue that needs resolution, please call the Information Services Help Desk at 570-887-5380.  We have made some adjustments to the service desk including extension of coverage.  For the time being, for any Epic related issues users should select option 2, but a new option 3 will be added in the coming weeks to help direct your call to the right support.

When the PARC project launched in February, a number of primary care offices implemented online scheduling through eGuthrie. With the success of that soft launch, the feature is ready to expand on April 3.  Beginning on that date, new and existing patients over age 18 will be able to schedule appointments with any primary care provider online using their eGuthrie accounts.
