On Saturday, April 7, Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital went live on Epic, replacing the Meditech electronic health system. This represents the last step in nearly a year long process to integrate Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital within the larger Guthrie system.
All patient records from Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital are now available in Epic. This allows patients to access to their medical records via eGuthrie. Providers at all Guthrie locations now have seamless access to their patients’ medical information following Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital visits.

Beginning Jan. 22, IT will be doubling its efforts to replace outdated Windows XP personal work computers. Throughout the project, monitors will be upgraded to 24” widescreens as needed. IT asks that employees aid in the efforts to replace these outdated machines by doing the following:
Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital implemented the PeopleSoft Human Resources and Payroll system beginning on Dec. 18. This is an exciting step in the process to integrate Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital with the larger Guthrie system.
Friday, Nov. 10 at 10 p.m. until Saturday, Nov. 11 at 2 a.m. there will be an Epic outage that will require all Epic modules be down for 4 hours. eGuthrie will also be down at this time. Read-only Epic system will be available. Downtime servers will also be available, and if you deem it necessary, please invoke your downtime procedures. Please keep your client devices turned on overnight and signed out of Epic where possible until after our Epic 2017 install is completed.
The PeopleSoft FSCM System (Finance & eProcurement) will be down starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22 for a required application upgrade. The system will return to normal functionality on Monday, Sept. 25 at 8 a.m. Your sign-on screen will be slightly different but all functionality will remain the same. During the Financial downtime, users will still have access to HR Self Service and all Recruiting web pages.
On Oct. 3, Guthrie will be going live in Epic with ACR Select imaging decision support. ACR Select utilizes evidence-based appropriate use criteria (AUC) to determine if an imaging order is appropriate based on the patient’s age, gender and reason for exam. This change is in response to upcoming CMS mandates for AUC for PET CT, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine procedures for technical reimbursement. This change will assist providers in ensuring high quality imaging care to improve patient outcomes and decrease costs.
There will be a campus wide power outage on Friday, August 18 beginning at 10 p.m. until around 4 a.m. Saturday morning. The outage will affect all buildings on the Sayre campus. The emergency generators will be engaged at approximately 8 p.m. Please remember to turn off all computers that are not in use to prevent any lost information. The popular Buy, Sell & Swap section that has been available on the Guthrie intranet is now also available on Workplace with expanded features. The new format allows photos to be uploaded with listings and allows the seller to mark the item as sold with one quick click. The same rules apply regarding the types of items that can be posted for sale, and the Human Resources team will still be responsible for approving items which are submitted for sale.
