The popular Buy, Sell & Swap section that has been available on the Guthrie intranet is now also available on Workplace with expanded features. The new format allows photos to be uploaded with listings and allows the seller to mark the item as sold with one quick click. The same rules apply regarding the types of items that can be posted for sale, and the Human Resources team will still be responsible for approving items which are submitted for sale.
The team responsible for running Epic, the system that Guthrie uses for its electronic medical record, has been working hard to implement new updates to the system which improve efficiency and align with best practices. After three recent upgrades, Guthrie has been awarded a STARS 6 rating by Epic, up from a STARS 2 rating before the upgrades.
As more employees make the switch to Office 365 and Outlook for email, there have been some reports of difficulty finding certain emails. This difficulty is likely caused by a default setting in Outlook called “focused inbox”. The setting is designed to filter out emails based on the content of the email (e.g., newsletters, machine-generated email and who you interact with most often). This is similar to junk mail filters, however, it may not always work as you expect and can end up filtering out emails you wish to receive.
This summer, Guthrie is migrating onto the Office 365 platform, including Outlook for our email. This presents an excellent opportunity for staff members to make sure that they have a standard email signature. Having a standard email signature helps to create a consistent Guthrie brand, and reinforces our goal of One Guthrie.
The Strategic Planning and Marketing Team has some tips for creating a professional looking signature, and wants to encourage all staff members to follow this format.
Signatures should use Arial 10 point font and contain the following information:

Men in the Twin Tiers now have a new option for prostate care at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. The hospital has recently introduced the UroNav MRI Fusion Biopsy technology is an option in diagnosis and management of prostate cancer. Fusion biopsy allows Guthrie physicians to analyze and plan a biopsy of the prostate in patients with elevated and/or rising PSA levels. The system fuses MRI images of the prostate with real-time ultrasound images. A biopsy of a suspicious lesion can be taken at the time of the ultrasound.
