There will be two Rural Trauma Team Development courses at Guthrie Corning Hospital Niagara and Seneca Conference Rooms on Thursday, September 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, September 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This course is designed to improve the quality of care to the rural trauma patient by addressing common problems, initial assessment, and stabilization of the injured. There will be 2 Living healthy workshops for chronic disease self-management held by S2AY Rural Health Network at Guthrie Corning Hospital Seneca Conference Room on Monday, September 18 from 12 - 2:30 p.m. and Thursday, September 21 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. The program will cover topics to help attendees manage frustration, pain, or isolation, effective communication with friends, family and doctors, evaluate new treatments, manage medication and maintain and improve strength, flexibility and endurance. They are open to patients and staff.

The event featured more than 75 vendors from federal, state and county agencies, area businesses and health organizations providing information and answering questions important to senior citizens.
