There will be floor renovations taking place in the Guthrie Sayre atrium beginning on August 7. The work will start nightly at 5 p.m. until complete, and may take up to two weeks. There will be detoured routes to accommodate anyone entering or leaving the facilities and directional signs and caution tape along the work areas as well as an employee to help guide people as needed. Contact Rennie Woodhouse, environmental services director, at 570-887-2193 if you have any questions.
It is now easy to view and create Guthrie-related events on your own on Workplace. Events on Workplace allow Guthrie employees to communicate with each other about planning, organizing and attending the event. It is also a place where employees can observe the event from afar even if they are unable to attend. Pictures, details and updates can be added for followers of the event to see.
The Guthrie Employee Health team has a number of resources available for employees who wish to quit tobacco use. If you are an employee looking for support, the first step is to contact Employee Health. You will be set up with individualized counseling, appropriate quit aids (e.g. patch, gum, medications) and ongoing support. In addition, there are a number of quit support resources available via phone, online, or through an app, which you may use in addition to or instead of the employee health program.
On August 26, Guthrie will be going live in Epic with the American College of Radiology ACR Select imaging decision support. ACR Select uses evidence-based appropriate use criteria (AUC) to determine if an imaging order is appropriate based on the patient’s age, gender, and reason for exam. If the order is determined to fall outside the ACR guidelines based on these factors, a notification window will appear to the provider when signing the order with suggestions of imaging orders aligned with the decision support. No notification will appear if the order is determined appropriate.
