Over the years there have been requests for the employee shuttle bus through the comm center or security. Many of these requests have been made during times when the employee shuttle rotates through the Hanger Lot or office areas in downtown Sayre and have caused unnecessary calls to be handled by the comm center, security and the shuttle drivers.
The American Red Cross could not meet patient needs and touch so many lives if it were not for organizations like Guthrie. We are proud to support our community, our country and be a part of the impact that the Red Cross makes every day.
We will be hosting our next blood drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross at Guthrie’s Sayre Campus in the Patterson Auditorium on Monday, Feb. 11 from 12 – 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Guthrie Corning Hospital will present the 18th Annual Valentine’s Ball on Feb. 9, 2019, at the Corning Museum of Glass. The Valentine’s Ball is the hospital’s premier fundraising event, drawing approximately 300 guests each year. Proceeds from the Valentine’s Ball benefit the Guthrie Corning Cancer Center and its mission to finish the fight against cancer.
Guthrie, in partnership with Elderwood, is offering free Nursing Assistant training classes. Participants are hired by Guthrie as a Patient Care Partner and complete a three-week training course at Elderwood. Once training is complete, you will begin your duties at Guthrie.
The Guthrie Service Awards Dinner will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 6 in the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital cafeteria. At this event, Guthrie recognizes the employees that make our success possible each year.
Employees from Med Supply Depot, Guthrie Foundation, Home Health, Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Guthrie Troy Community Hospital, Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital and The Guthrie Clinic celebrating milestones from 5 to 45 years of service during 2018 have received invitations to attend the recognition dinner.
Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital is implementing a new process and technology to help prevent hospital acquired infections. The program will be implemented by Xanitos. The Xanitos team will hold a meet and learn event on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 1-5 p.m. in the Patterson Auditorium. Staff members are invited to meet the new housekeeping management team and learn about the processes and technology that will be used to keep our patients and staff members safe. The event will include information-sharing and prizes.
