The annual training modules have been assigned to you via Guthrie LEARN. They are due to be complete no later than October 31, 2020. This year the annual training modules are 15 minutes less in length and yet remain compliant with all regulatory requirements. In an effort for managers to be prepared for the annual training, we’ve provided a document that provides a simple step-by-step approach on how to review direct reports, change reporting relationships in Peoplesoft, and leverage team monitor in Guthrie LEARN to view status of completions.
Guthrie will be piloting a team-based nursing care model on select units at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital and Guthrie Corning Hospital. This model will pilot using teams of one RN, one LPN, and one Care Partner or two RN’s, depending on the unit, working together to care for a group of patients. This model utilizes the diversity of skills, education and qualification level of the entire staff, with the goal of providing exceptional care and continuity for patients that allows them to know their team.
As COVID-19 cases continue to sharply increase across much of the country, Guthrie has modified employee travel guidelines to align with the NYS COVID-19 Travel Advisory.
As of July 1, the following states, in which 10% of the total population has tested positive for COVID-19 or the transmission rate is above 10 per 100,000 people on a rolling seven-day average, meet the criteria for quarantine:
