Several wheelchairs used for patient transport at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital are missing their legs. Unfortunately these wheelchairs cannot be safely used to transport patients without the legs attached. Legs are removed from the wheelchairs for various reasons when a patient is in an office visit or in the hospital; however, they often are not put back on before the wheelchair is returned to service for others.
Beginning Monday, Feb. 27, the entrance to the vendor parking lot on Guthrie’s Sayre campus will be closed for construction work being completed along the side of the facilities building. Guthrie will implement a new Purchase Order Vendor policy beginning on March 1. Over the past few months, the Purchasing team has been working hard to identify improvements, implement efficiencies and increase the convenience of making purchases at Guthrie. The goal of these improvements is to streamline processes and make it easier and more convenient for employees and vendors to complete transactions. Part of the new process will require a Purchase Order (PO) to be in place for any goods and services provided to Guthrie before an invoice will be paid.
