The Guthrie Weight Loss Center and Wellness Committee will host a virtual Food Farm Family Festival from Aug. 15-21. The event, usually held in Howard Elmer Park, will be held virtually this year to comply with social distancing guidelines related to COVID-19.
The American Red Cross has an ongoing critical need for blood product donations as uncertainties remain during this pandemic.
Guthrie will host a blood drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross at the St. John Lutheran Church at 207 S. Hopkins Street in Sayre on Monday, Aug. 10 from 12–5 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 11 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Guthrie will pay you $100 for each of your physician referrals that we interview — and, for a limited time only, $20,000 for ENT or OBGYN doctors that you refer and we hire. Guthrie offers $10,000 for all other physician referrals we hire.
A Vendor Access Policy Amid COVID-19 has been created to provide guidance on vendor access to Guthrie locations during this time. To address asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission of COVID-19, the CDC recommends implementing source control measures for vendors entering a healthcare facility, regardless of symptoms.
The Guthrie Corning Cancer Center received praise and gratitude this week with posters and banners in appreciation for their patient care. The act of appreciation came from the family of a patient who was treated at the Corning Cancer Center but had recently passed away. This heartwarming gesture was a testament to the quality of care that the entire team, including the front desk staff, CA’s, nurses, nurse coordinator and financial advocate, provides to make each patient they serve feel special and cared for.
