Friday, Nov. 10 at 10 p.m. until Saturday, Nov. 11 at 2 a.m. there will be an Epic outage that will require all Epic modules be down for 4 hours. eGuthrie will also be down at this time. Read-only Epic system will be available. Downtime servers will also be available, and if you deem it necessary, please invoke your downtime procedures. Please keep your client devices turned on overnight and signed out of Epic where possible until after our Epic 2017 install is completed.
New for this outage, the ADT Downtime Room will be open on Nov. 10 at 10 p.m. to receive new admissions, discharges and transfers from all hospital nurse stations. This data will be placed into Epic before the system is returned to staff. The downtime room is located in the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Admissions Department and will be supported by registration staff from the hospitals. The downtime room will close when the Epic downtime has ended. During the Downtime, please call 570-887-4301 with your downtime admissions, discharges and transfers.
The Epic Command Center will be staffed 24/7 for the Epic 2017 Upgrade from Nov. 11 through Nov. 21. During this time, if you need to report an issue, please dial 570-887-5380 and choose Option 3.
As of Sunday, Nov. 5, the Production System is in a hard freeze state which will continue until the upgrade is completed on Nov. 11. This means that the end user will not be able to create or modify any build such as Smart Phrases.
