Policy Updates

In order to ensure our promise of consistent quality care to our patients, please be aware of changes to two policies, effective July 1, 2019. 

  • #HR-212: All exempt (salaried) employees, licensed employees (example: RN’s, LPN’s) and supervisors will need to give a four-week notice of resignation. This increase is important to the continuity of care in fulfilling the Guthrie mission. There is no change for all other non-exempt (hourly) employees. They are required to provide a two- week notice of resignation. 
  • #HR-203: In an effort to allow more time to hire and train new employees, we have also increased our standard internal transfer period for all employees to that of four-weeks, closest to the start of a pay-period. Note: The current policy at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center allows transfer to occur within three weeks or a time mutually agreed upon by both managers.
