Trees will be displayed in the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Cafeteria from Monday, Nov. 19 through Wednesday, Dec. 11. There will be two trees with tags on them representing the children in our area who need your help to have a good Christmas. One tree is sponsored by The Salvation Army, which provides assistance to children in the Athens, Sayre and Waverly school districts. The second tree will be sponsored by Northern Tier Helping Hands, an organization that provides assistance to children primarily in Bradford county, but also some in Tioga County.
If you’d like to help a child this Christmas, please remove a tag from the tree, purchase desired gifts listed on tag, put gifts in a bag, and bring the bag, with the tag attached, to the Volunteer Services Office on 5 Sumner on or before Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 4 p.m. Please be sure that the gifts are NOT wrapped and that the tag is attached.
Gifts go to the specific child on the tag. If you have any questions, please contact Michele Varano at 570-887-4242.
