Guthrie has signed a rose for the 2017 Donate Life Rose Parade Float. Marie Droege, President, Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, met with representatives from Donate Life to dedicate a rose vial which will feature on the float’s rose garden which includes contributions from hospital systems across the nation. The signature represents Guthrie’s commitment to fostering organ donation.
The float, which is in its 14th year, honors those who have given and received organ donations. This year’s float which will be unveiled at the 2017 Rose Parade is themed “Teammates in Life”. It reflects the parade’s theme, Echoes of Success, by reminding us that no one succeeds alone. Donors save the lives of grateful recipients and help families heal, and it is the large community of registered donors that makes it possible to save thousands of lives across the country each year.
The 128th Rose Parade will take place Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at 11 a.m. (EST)
