Guthrie Corning Hospital Hosts Ice Bucket Challenge

On Tuesday, May 16, during the National Health Care Week celebrations, employees and administration at Guthrie Corning Hospital held an Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The event was held in memory of a long time employee, Sue Preset, who passed away in February 2017 after a long courageous battle with the disease. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
