Girl Scouts Make Donation to House of Hope

Sep 30, 2016

As part of their Silver Award Project, Girl Scouts in Troop 41227 donated two Adirondack chairs, five tied fleece blankets and one quilt to Sayre House of Hope. They also held food and household items drives at several locations in the valley. Their efforts have helped replenish House of Hope’s cupboards, and provided large amount of items for the baskets of toiletry items for the families that stay there. These things are all greatly appreciated by the families that make use of the Sayre House of Hope during a medical crisis.  They often come in with little in the way of supplies or resources to help them during their stay. Great work to all of the Girl Scouts involved!

Silver Award Recipients Abigail Mckeever, Rachael Vandermark, Alexa McCutcheon, and Mikala Horton display the donated items. Also pictured from their troop are Kayla Hughey, Madison Romberger and Sarah Vandermark, who helped collect and deliver the donations to Sayre House of Hope.
