Employee of the Year Recognized at Guthrie Corning Hospital

Roy Turner is the recipient of the 2016 Employee of the Year Award for Guthrie Corning Hospital presented at the Sixty-second Annual Service Awards Banquet. Roy works in the Emergency Department and has been with the hospital for 37 years. He received the award after numerous Shining Start awards from patients and their families. He was recognized for engaging each patient with kind, respectful, encouraging words and for keeping family members comfortable and informed. Roy makes each patient his number one priority and demonstrates unfailing compassion. Congratulations to Roy on this well-deserved honor.

Approximately 130 employees and retirees attended the banquet that was held at the Corning Radisson Hotel.  The night started off with an introduction by Philip Roche, Board Chairman, a welcome by Garrett Hoover, SVP, President/COO and then on to dinner, award presentations and a powerpoint presentation.
