Annual Required Training Modules Have Changed

Jul 05, 2019

The Guthrie 2020 Annual Training Modules will be available beginning July 1, 2019 and must be completed by December 30, 2019. There will be a new look and feel this year to ensure this annual training has a more effective visual appeal and creates a deeper understanding of the material to set expectations of performance and behavior.

What are the new changes? The training will appear more like a magazine article with two columns and related pictures with purpose and sequence to each page. You will also experience:

  • Each page is timed (anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds) to when the user will see the back and forward button appear at the bottom of the page. You will no longer be able to click through the pages quickly to answer the questions.
  • Questions will be asked at strategic points in the training (after the objective is covered) in lieu of questions placed at the end of the presentation.

Answers to some quiz questions will have more than one answer. The questions will ask you to select the appropriate or best “answer” or “answers.” You will have to re-try the question if you get it wrong to proceed with the training module.

Important: The latest software upgrade to Guthrie LEARN requires you to use CHROME or MICROSOFT EDGE as your browser. You may experience excessive circling or wait times if you use Internet Explorer. If you experience excessive wait times or other issues such as black screens, etc. please contact the Help Desk at 570-887-7380.

Although changes have been made to the modules, it is expected to take approximately the same amount of time to complete as the previous format.

Note: This does not apply to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. They are currently working on providing this capability.
